CAD PWM amplifiers and PWM amplifier with on-board SMPS.

CAD AUDIO PWM /Class-D Digital amplifiers
are designed
to give very high performance in audio quality and to deal
with all aspects of amplifier use and applications including amplifier
+ power supply combination, multichannel use , channel syncronization
, protection circuits , active crossover use,
etc.
They are all full bandwidth modules (20 Hz - 20 kHz+) and are very usefull for a broad range of applications from HIFI, Home Cinema to Pro
Audio, Active Loudspeakers, Installation...
Sound quality is very good indeed and THD + N is 0.02% or better.
Signal/Noise ratio is typically 115 dB or better.
The
A-modules are PWM amplifier modules for
external power supply and
the ASW-modules are very compact high-performance PWM amplifier +
Switch Mode Power Supply combination boards.
The
ASW modules can power an A-module for 2-ch / stereo use and the CAD
1000ASW can power 1-2 CAD 250A for biamp use (1000W + 250W into 4 ohms)
or an extra CAD 1000A and the CAD 2000ASW can power 1-2 CAD 500A , again for biamp use (2000W
+ 500W into 4 ohms) or an extra CAD 2000A module.
D250A Digital amplifier D1000A Digital
Amplifier D1000ASW Digital Amplifier + SMPS
Lets
look at the 250ASW board, it is 100 x 165 x 35mm overall ( 4" x
5.5" x 1,5" high) , it is powered by 115V
AC or 230V AC, its has a balanced input connector and a volume control
connector, it has an expansion header for an active crossover +
equalizer, it has a Channel-link connector with clock and signal from
Ch-A crossover , neat and versatile for multichannel, bi-amp and
various applications.
The output stage is a high power half-bridge design with high power
fets driven by a fast driver, the amplifier is a clock based design
with a high precision clock. The clock has a header so it can clock
other channels in a multichannel setup and the power supply has a DC
output connector to power a CAD 250A board.The PWM signal is made in
our proprietary PWM processor using discrete components and overall
feedback after the output filter as this gives very good audio
performance.
EMI and RFI is very good indeed and power output is 250W into 4 ohms
and the amplifier is completely stable and has no problems driving 2
ohms.The amplifier has a number of protection circuits including a
peak limiter, an over current shutdown circuit, an undervoltage / soft
start circuit, etc.

CAD 250A is a PWM amplifier rated at 250W into 4 ohms and
powered by an external supply.
CAD 250ASW is a PWM amplifier + SMPS board rated at 250W into 4
ohms.
CAD 500A is a PWM amplifier rated at 500W into 4 ohms and powered
by an external supply.
CAD 500ASW is a PWM amplifier + SMPS board like the 250ASW
but rated at 500W into 4 ohms.
CAD 1000A is a PWM amplifier rated at 1000W into 4 ohms and
powered by an external supply.
CAD 1000ASW is a PWM amplifier + SMPS board rated at 1000W
into 4 ohms.
CAD 2000A is a PWM amplifier rated at 2000W into 4 ohms and
powered by an external supply.
CAD 2000ASW is a PWM amplifier + SMPS board rated at 2000W
into 4 ohms.
CAD D400A is a PWM amplifier rated at 400W/ 4 ohms
CAD D700A is a PWM amplifier rated at 700W/ 4 ohms
CAD D300C2A is a PWM amplifier rated at 2 x 300W/ 4 ohms or 1 x
600W / 8 ohms
CAD D500C2A is a PWM amplifier rated at 2 x 500W/ 4 ohms or 1 x
1000W / 8 ohms
We have had many questions whether these boards/modules are based on
Tripath controllers or other such controllers, they are not based on a
Tripath or other controller, they are fully discrete designs made by
us , (also we dont know of any controllers giving same performance and
stability, protection and limitation , low EMC etc.) 
DSP
242 is a DSP based signal processor for use with the CAD PWM
amplifiers, DSP242 has a number of features combined with very good
specs and audio quality.
It is a 2 ch module with the following;
24 bit, 48kHz converters, 5 band parametric equalizer, limiter ,
delay, 24 dB linkwitz-riley crossover,
phase invert, stereo/bridge output, input and output gain, 10 memories
with full recall, programmable with pc link or directly, 2x20 ch lcd
display , 115 x 110mm, DSP 242 plugs in to expansion header of
any A or ASW amplifier module.

DIGITAL AMP MODULES CX2
is an analog crossover module, 2 channels, 24 dB linkwitz-riley
crossover, CX2 plugs in to
expansion header of any A or ASW amplifier module. CXEQ2
is an analog crossover module like CX2 + a 4 ch parametric equalizer
with adjustable freq, gain and q, CXEQ2
plugs in to expansion header of any A or ASW amplifier module.
New Switch-Mode Power Supplies with PFC -
CAD SW 300 and CAD SW1500.
CAD SW300 is rated for 2x45VDC
output and power rating is
300/600W, it has power factor correction and has protection for
overload , short etc. CAD 300SW is designed for powering CAD
250A 1 or 2 channels .
2x60V DC output voltage is optional. CAD
SW300 measures 100 x 160 x 44 mm.

CAD SW300 switch mode power supply
We are happy to present a new switch-mode
power supply with on-board power factor correction (PFC), the CAD
SW1500. Rated power is 1500W continous and 3000W peak power, and its
designed for CAD 500A and/or CAD 2000A in high-power or multi-channel
applications.
CAD SW500 is a Lo noise and high
efficiency Switch-Mode Power Supply (SMPS) designed to power an audio
amplifier like our D250A , D400A etc. Power output is 500W continous
and 1000W short term. SW500 has overload/short circuit protection,
over-temp protection, soft start etc. Output voltages are 2x45V DC
(SW500-45) or 2x65V DC (SW500-65) + 15 V aux supply.
CADSW1000 is a Lo noise and high
efficiency Switch-Mode Power Supply (SMPS) designed to power an audio
amplifier like our D500A , D500C2A etc. Power output is 1000W
continous and 2000W short term. SW1000 has overload/short circuit
protection, over-temp protection, soft start etc.Output voltages are
2x45V DC (SW1000-45) or 2x65V DC (SW1000-65) + 15 V aux supply.
CAD SW1500 has a lot of useful features
and functions like all aux voltages for the amplifier boards, remote
on/off switching, fan supply and control etc etc. Of course the CAD
SW1500 has EMI and protection functions as well.
Dimensions are 210 x 140 x 56 mm (8" x
4.6" x 2.2") and weight is 1.2 kgs. CAD SW1500 is available as samples
